The “Roadmap to Resilient, Ultra-Low Energy Buildings, with Deep Integration of Renewables” webinar was chaired by Robert Crawhall, Executive Director of the Canadian Academy of Engineering (CAE) and featured a panel discussion of six key components of the roadmap delivered by the co-authors, followed by a 20-minute Q & A session.

During the webinar, the co-authors provided an introduction to the roadmap, presented the possibilities for Canada’s future as a resilient decarbonized nation, and presented measurable goals for decarbonizing Canada’s building stock. In addition, they presented case studies of novel and high-performing community-scale or building projects in Alberta, Ontario, and Québec. They also provided principles for policymakers and discuss the expanded role of engineers in bringing technical insight into policy development processes.
