Making Better Use of Science and Technology in Policy-Making: New CAE report issued

In 2015, the CAE partnered with the Institute for Research on Public Policy on a cross-Canada series of roundtables to address the question of “how governments can better incorporate science and engineering in policy-making processes and improve the quality of government decisions.” The final report was issued this morning and is available at http://irpp.org/research-studies/report-2016-03-08/ Please see as well the attached news releases.

We wish to thank the financial sponsors of this project, which included Industry Canada, the Canadian Nuclear Association and the Canadian Energy Pipeline Association. We also wish to thank the many CAE Fellows who participated in the roundtables for their thoughtful insights.
