James Terence (Terry) Rogers, FCAE (November 19, 1926 – November 25, 2014)

I regret to report the passing of Terry Rogers.  Terry joined the faculty of Engineering at Carleton University in 1970 and later was appointed Professor Emeritus. He developed a reputation as one of Canada’s leading nuclear safety experts. He was still active in the field and he (along with Dan Maneley) wrote a paper on the nuclear industry on behalf of the CAE for an international meeting in Mexico last year.

When I was a new faculty member in the Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at Carleton, I found Terry to be a model of how an academic should contribute to his students and to the university. We will miss that contribution and his happy demeanor.
