CAE News for the week of 30 April

On a weekly basis, the CAE compiles news of interest to the organization and its members, and makes it publicly available on our website. The CAE works to highlight emerging issues in which engineering has a role as well as promote recognition of engineering excellence and innovation.

 New Western Provost

Congratulations to Andy Hrymak, FCAE, on this appointment as Western’s next Provost. Dr. Hrymak is a member of the CAE’s Fellowship Committee. For more information, click here.

New Head of the Canadian Institute of Mining Council

Samantha Espley, FCAE, has been named the incoming head of the Presidents Council for the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum for the 2020-2021 year. She is the director of Vale’s Technical Excellence Centre of Mining and Mineral Processing in Sudbury.

Congratulations Samantha for taking on this important leadership role.
