As Executive Director of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, Robert is responsible for the overall operations of the Academy, implementation of the Strategic Plan, partnerships with other organizations, engagement with Fellows of the Academy and relationships with sponsors.

Chris has worked with non-profit organizations for the past 18 years and has helped them to implement structural changes and also raise millions of dollars. He has managed marketing and communications campaigns. His experience as project manager, team leader, executive director and chair of organizations has enabled him to gain a valuable insight in the way organizations function and what their needs are.

Event Coordinator

Christine Helm has more than 30 years of experience working with national industry associations and organizing events and conferences of all sizes. With her vast knowledge of non-profit governance models, she has worked with national Boards of Directors and been responsible for stakeholder relations and volunteer committees.

Administration and Fellowships

Prior to joining the CAE, Kayla worked for a national non-profit organization, coordinating educational and administrative services for a number of curriculums. She holds a Bachelor of Mass Communications from Carleton University as well as an Advanced Diploma in Advertising and Marketing Communications Management from Algonquin College. In her role as Administration & Fellowship Coordinator, Kayla is often the first point of contact with our Fellows.

Accounting: Shannon Hallett

Bookkeeping

Shannon Hallett is a Professional Bookkeeper with a diverse background in private business and not-for-profit associations, with specialties in project, production and membership management. She has worked in this capacity as well as office manager and coordinator with professionals, artists, entrepreneurs and diplomats, with a view to streamlining and clarifying management, compliance and communications in order to facilitate and improve operations. Shannon served as Director on the Board of the Entre-Nous Femmes Housing Society in Vancouver 2004-2007 and was on the LOC for UN-Habitat WUF III and associated conferences.
