Fellows of the Canadian Academy of Engineering have been collaborating on a number of programs on topics critical to Canada and the world. Consider coming to our 2024 annual conference in beautiful London, Ontario to see what we’ve been working on, learn about technology and research in the region, and welcome our new Fellows into the Academy.

Program Summary

The proposed program includes several panel discussions on important issues (May 28 and 29), including:

• AI/ML: The Disruptive Force Reshaping Engineering Disciplines
• Quantum Computing: Unleashing New Potentials and Challenges in Engineering
• From Lab to Market: Translating Cleantech Innovations into Practical Applications
• The next-generation batteries for EVs
• Infrastructure: energy and carbon emissions reduction
• Roadmap for Resilient Building
• The changing nature of severe summer storms and the impact on engineering design

Plus, a special panel discussion session on the history and future of CAE.

We are also very excited to have Dr. Donna Strickland, the Nobel Prize Laureate (2018, Physics), to deliver a keynote lecture in the morning of May 28.
